Leadership Opportunities

Involvement in a Royal Palm Coast Realtor® Association Committee is a valuable opportunity for Realtor® members to network, collaborate, and contribute to the real estate industry. RPCRA has various committees that focus on specific aspects of our industry. The purpose of these committees is to advance RPCRA with your participation by focusing on the issues and causes that matter within the membership, the community, and the real estate industry.

Roberts Rules of Order

  • Robert's Rules of Order is the most widely used parliamentary authority in the United States. NAR's Bylaws recognize Robert's Rules of Order, Latest Edition, as the authority governing the meetings of the National Association of REALTORS®. Royal Palm Coast Realtor® Association also abides by the Robert’s Rules of Order. 

    Note: If you are considering a chair position and/or if you are appointed as a chair, you will automatically be assigned a seat on the Communications Committee.

2024 Committees and Descriptions

  • BROKER ALLIANCE COMMITTEE    Chair: JJ Jones  |  Vice Chair: Marion Briggs  
    Works to increase professionalism among brokers by having broker members discuss and present solutions to issues pertaining to running a successful brokerage and sharing ideas for training successful sales agents. The committee will focus on increasing member engagement by clearly communicating the value proposition of RPCRA membership. Brokers Only 

  • BUDGET AND FINANCE COMMITTEE*    Chair: Shane Spring, Treasurer/Secretary
    Reviews and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors concerning all financial activities of the association and FGCMLS. The committee reviews requests for non-budgeted items and the annual operations budget. The committee is responsible for ensuring prudent utilization of members' resources in alignment with the established mission of RPCRA. Members and Affiliate Business Partners may serve on the committee. Realtor® Members Only

  • INVESTMENT & RESERVE SUBCOMMITTEE   Chair: Stats Matias, Director
    Reviews overall program and specific performance, asset allocation, program expenses, and conducts ongoing manager due diligence. Provides review of the investment consultant’s performance annually. Works with the staff liaison to ensure that internal reporting practices meet the committees’ needs and expectations.

    Conducts an annual self-evaluation on the performance of the committee. The committee shall also ascertain that brokerage and investment manager accounts have been reconciled. Realtor® Members Only 

  • CANDIDATE SCREENING TASK FORCE 
    Realtor® Members Only; TRAINING REQUIRED
    Creates questions and screening materials as well as conducts interviews of candidates seeking support from the association for an elected office. In a very politically active and important 2024, Realtor® party involvement and support will be crucial to candidates for office. (Meets as needed) 

  • COMMUNICATIONS   Chair: Donna Stout / Co-Chair: Karen Borrelli 
    All Committee Chairs
    Works to ensure a positive Realtor® image in Southwest Florida and supports outreach programs to members to communicate and involve members in the activities of the association. The committee supports the success of the Realtor® brand through consumer-based marketing and work to increase the community's knowledge and understanding of the value RPCRA brings to the surrounding area. (Meets as needed)
  • DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION COMMITTEE    Chair: Jessica Gonzalez  |  Vice Chair: SharonDecker
    Embraces and celebrates the unique differences, backgrounds and perspectives within the association and the community. Organizes events and workshops that celebrate diverse cultures and foster an inclusive community. Collaborates with other committees and external organizations. The committee will develop strategic partnerships focused on expanding the reach, impact, and engagement of RPCRA with a cross-section of partners. Realtor® and Affiliate Members

  • GLOBAL BUSINESS COUNCIL COMMITTEE    Chair: Mojgan Styner  |  Vice Chair: Beate Wunderer 
    Promotes and coordinates activities to help Realtors® expand their market to include culturally diverse clients and international business opportunities. Applicants must have one of the following certifications/designations: At Home with Diversity (AHWD), Resort & Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS), or Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS). Realtors® who have started their CIPS designation and completed at least one class will be considered. The committee will develop strategic partnerships focused on expanding the reach, impact, and engagement of RPCRA with a cross-section of partners. Realtor® and Affiliate Members. Affiliates must provide services for international clients. 

  • GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE*    Chair: Jenny Moorhead  |  Vice Chair: Hank Bertodatto
    Reviews ethics complaints to determine if the allegations made, if taken as true, might support a violation of the Article(s) cited in the complaint. All Realtors® are held to the Code of Ethics put forth by the National Association of Realtors®. Realtor® Members Only; TRAINING REQUIRED


  • MLS & TECH COMMITTEE*    Chair: Matthew Kuchar  Vice Chair: James Sommers, Director
    Identifies, updates, and gauges FGCMLS challenges and opportunities. Provides a communication link between the Realtor® membership and the Florida Gulf Coast FGCMLS. FGCMLS & Tech ensure that RPCRA is providing an efficient and accurate FGCMLS that provides the members with reliable data. They work to enhance tools, products, and services available to members throughout the year. Realtor® Members Only

  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE    Chair: Crystal Norton, Director  |  Vice Chair: Russ Hilderbrand 
    Meets current and future educational needs of members by identifying knowledge-based educational opportunities. Promotes Florida Realtors® and NAR courses/designations and plans specialty programs. The committee encourages members to enhance their real estate careers through education and professionalism opportunities offered through RPCRA as well as enhance member professionalism through robust, relevant course offerings. Realtor® and Affiliate Members

  • PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS COMMITTEE*    Chair: Donna Stout
    Charged with the responsibility of enforcing the Realtor® Code of Ethics, this committee is one of the Association’s most important. If the Grievance Committee has determined a formal complaint filed with the Association warrants as arbitration or ethics hearing, the case is referred to the Professional Standards Committee. Hearing panels of trained Association members are then assembled and function as a judiciary body to decide cases and recommend appropriate penalties for failure to follow the Realtor® Code of Ethics and Professional Standards. A member of the Professional Standards Committee must be a member of the Association for at least three years, served on the Grievance committee for two years, and complete a three-hour training session to serve on this committee. Realtor® Members Only; TRAINING REQUIRED


  • PUBLIC POLICY COMMITTEE*   Chair: Marion Briggs  |  Vice Chair: Angie Petrizze
    This committee oversees the development and implementation of the Association’s political agenda. Issues and policies that affect the industry are discussed and the Association’s position on a particular issue is created. Key contacts for local officials and city boards are appointed from the committee and are required to report back quarterly regarding meetings with those elected officials. The committee fosters positive relationships with public officials and community leaders through increased member involvement. Realtor® and Affiliate Members

  • REALTOR® POLICTICAL ACTION COMMITTEE (RPAC) & FUNDING SUBCOMMITTEE   
    Chair: George Sand, III, Director  |  Vice Chair: Sandra Aguilar, Director 

    Responsible for annual fundraising of political donations from Association members to meet goals established by National Association of Realtors® and Florida Realtors® for the Realtor® Political Action Committee. RPAC is also responsible for increasing member participation that meets or exceeds NAR and FR established goals. Also responsible for educating membership on the value of their RPAC investment and cultivating relationships with members through communicating the value of advocacy. Realtor® and Affiliate Members 

  • YOUNG PROFESSIONALS NETWORK (YPN)    Chair: Rachael Guertin  |  Vice Chair: Anthony Pizarro
    Encourages the communications, information, and education necessary to reach out to young professional members. Meets and discusses issues and matters affecting YPN’s business and ability to do business. Provides input to the association regarding the development of YPN initiatives to promote information and opportunities on how to get involved at the local, state, and national levels. Realtor® and Affiliate Members
